spend the night at pakachere
Our rooms are basic and clean; we are not a fancy hotel but we offer a clean and safe environment, and we go out of our way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
How are our room prices calculated? Pakachere is not owned by us, so we pay rent. Prices include taxes, 16.5% VAT, tourism levy, licenses, electricity, water, maintenance, and costs for cleaning, staff salaries, security, etc.
We do everything to avoid spreading COVID-19. We rotate beds and rooms, aiming to keep every room empty for 24 hours before new guests can enter. We clean every room thoroughly as usual, but we will take extra precautions.
In public spaces we disinfect door knobs, light switches and taps several times per day. We have less tables in the restaurant but more in the garden to offer air & space.
We ask all guests to wash their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds when they arrive at Pakachere and to respect physical distance of 2m between yourself, our staff and other guests. We won’t shake your hand to welcome you, and ask you to use your own pen to fill in the check-in form. We provide sanitiser to clean surfaces if you want.
Our staff does not come to work when they are feeling unwell and all employees have been vaccinated. We have the right to refuse admission to guests who have a cough, fever or other flu-like symptoms.
Our private rooms have their own en-suite bathrooms with shower and toilet. We have a family room that sleeps 4 people with a double bed and a bunk bed. We also have a smaller room with a double bed. Prices Mk 40,000 (double), Mk 48,000 (3p) or 55,000 (4p)
We have a basic 10-bed and two 4-bed dorms. All with nets and linen with shared bathroom facilities. The 10-bed dorm has bunkbeds, a bathroom attached to it; the 4-bed dorms have 2 single beds, better nets and a fan. A bed in the 10-bed dorm costs Mk 10,000; bed in 4-bed dorm Mk 14,000
